It was deadly hot in the month of June. I knew I was running short of gas but I was pretty sure I would make it to the gas station with whatever amount of gas was left in my scooter. But, booh, somewhere mid-way, my scooter gave up! It couldn’t make it to the gas station. Β And there I was, standing all alone in the scorching heat, trying to figure out what to do.
Then I decided I would “walk-along my scooter” and take it to the gas station. I was walking and walking and “pushing” my bike in the hot weather when suddenly a car stopped by.
I saw an elderly man behind the wheel and a young man ( I guess he was his son) in the passenger seat. And this young man (not to mention very handsome) got out and asked if I needed any help (the most thankful, happy, blush moment for me). I pretended I’m okay and I can do this on my own. But he insisted and I accepted his help. He pushed my bike and got it to the gas station which took us about 15 “relieving” minutes. And all this while we chatted, smiled, and laughed. π
When we got there, I thanked him and told him that he might go now and that he need not waste his time anymore. But he waited. Waited till the scooter tank filled up and my scooter started running again. He only drove off when I safely left the station ( saw it from the back mirror) π .
So, this is my story which happened to me for REAL. I don’t know his name. I never saw him again. But all I know is that he is one KIND man. Helping a total stranger in the scorching heat, not bothering about time, not expecting anything in return. Well, this world surely is full of kind people and I happened to meet such a person for REAL. π
